Today's Topic - Letting Love Find You
I spent many years feeling like I was broken and rejected, wondering why certain relationships didn't work out. I spent a lot of time kissing toads and what I realized is that I had to become the person I wanted to attract. Once I realized that, I started changing my belief systems and behavors. And then he showed up.
Everything became crystal clear why the other relationships didn't work out. They were seasoning me and preparing me for today.

Today's Topic - Breakthoughs
None of us learn from the easy things in life. There is grit in all of us, not just some of us. Think back on something hard you've been through and how you got through it. Remind yourself that your stronger than you think you are. Sometimes we're just barely hanging on, waiting for the storm to pass but it always passes. Breathe, lean in to "what is", ask for help, this too shall pass.

Today's Topic - Good Vibrations
I've know this for many years but sometimes I forget. Today I was reminded that when we vibrate in a higher frequency, we repel lower vibrations. The best way to do this is have a quartz in your pocket when you go out into the world. If you don't have access to purchase a quartz during pandemic season, you can simply go outside barefoot and get connected to the earth.
Another simple and free way to raise your vibration is to close your eyes and visualize yourself in a beautiful orange light all around you.

Today's Topic - Your Past Does Not Define You
I used to be the person that lived in the past. I dwelled on it with regret and it kept me stuck for years. I realized that my past is simply a trail I've left behind and without it; I wouldn't be the me I am today. I have to believe that regardless of which turn I made in the past, the lesson I was suppose to learn would have showed up either way because I needed to learn it.
My past taught me what I wanted and didn't want. It taught me what was working and what wasn't. It taught me that I'm stronger than I thought I was. It taught me to think before I jump.
Today I when I reflect back, I have a sense of gratitude and even laugh at some of the crazy things I did. Today I'm grateful that I make better choices that have good consequences. Today I realize the progress I've made and I get to celebrate that.

Today's Topic - Boundaries
If you've ever been a people pleaser you'll appreciate this one. About ten years ago, I read a book called Boundaries. It really helped me understand and build strength in my own boundaries whether that be with family, friends, or coworkers.
It's been both challenging and liberating to practice them. As we make this conscience shift, we will start to recognize that there are some people in our lives that no longer vibrate in the same space. Maybe we've outgrown them, maybe we're just tired of taking their shit.
Either way, it's an opportunity to take inventory of what is and isn't working in our lives. I'm asking myself the question, "Does this person give me life or bring me down?" I'm cleaning house because moving forward I don't have the time nor the patience for it. I can't save everybody but I can save myself and I choose me.

Today's Topic - Perspective
In every crisis and every struggle, there's an opportunity for us to learn something. Life's lessons are not happening to us, they are happening for us. I learned a long time ago rather than ask "why me" I now ask what this experience is trying to teach me?
Digging deep isn't always easy but it's required in order to make a shift. Life will continue to come at us and challenge us and it's up to us to find the blessing in disquise.

Today's Topic - Starting Over
I'm grateful for every day because I get the chance to start over. I get the chance to do better than the day before. Sometimes I slip into old behavior and let my addiction get the best of me but I'll never quit trying. I'll keep quitting till it sticks.
At the end of the day, I will conquer my addiction and one day, it will no longer bully me. I will defeat it and prove to myself that I'm in charge. Today I slipped and it got the best of me but I have tomorrow to try again. I won't beat myself up because it's progress, not perfection. I'll continue to remind myself that I don't have to be perfect to be whole.

Today's Topic - Breathing
The human body is a marvelous work of art from the heavens. It knows what to do and how to breathe in and out. But isn't it interesting, that most of us go through the day and don't think twice our breathing? It's not until we cannot breath or take in a full breath, that we become aware of our breath.
Conscience breathing is the most powerful way to pull us back to the present moment. It's the most powerful way to get us out of all the chatter in our heads. I'm not the best at meditation, I'll admit that. For me, when I meditate my mind takes me to the grocery store, my to do list, what I'm going to wear that day and what's the latest on Netflix. Very rarely do I experience complete nirvana when I meditate. Conscience breathing however is something I've been able to cultivate and apply in my life.
I learned a powerful breathing technique. Breath in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4 and make each breath consistent. I don't do it every day, but having the awareness that I have it as a tool to calm me down and bring me back to present is a great gift.

Today's Topic - The Lotus
The Lotus Flower grows in the deep mud, far away from the sun. But, sooner or later, the Lotus reaches the light becoming the most beautiful flower ever. The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower. We are the lotus.

Today's Topic - Be The Change
I've learned that in life there only a few things we really have control over. Our behavior and how we react to what's happening around us. Actions are more powerful than words and when humans do an act of kindness, it raises our vibration and the vibration of those who witness it.
What if that person that cuts us off in traffic is rushing to a hospital to see their loved one for the last time before they pass? What if the person who butts in front of us at a store is rushing home to feed their baby? Nothing people do is personal and we can never assume we know what's going on in one's life. The only thing we can do is not react, let go of our egos, and be kind.

Today's Topic - Consciousness Shift
This pandemic is shaking us all to our core making some of us very uncomfortable. I truly believe this is a gift from the heavens in the sense that we get to reset our values, goals, what we love, what we don't love.
Some of us are having an identity crisis, some are paralyzed in fear, some are taking this opportunity to re evaluate what gives us joy and what makes our hearts sing.
I've been making vison boards for years and many things have manifested in my life as a result. Whatever you focus on gets bigger so why not focus on solutions and how you want your life to look like moving forward. Just a thought, just a suggestion.

Today's Topic - Taking Time To Decompress
Taking time to decompress and unplug is vital to our over all well being. For me, starting at the crack of dawn, I'm on the computer and phone all day and especially in this pandemic, I've really been conscience to reach out to my friends that I know are struggling.
However, when it starts to interfere with my quality time for myself, I know I need to pump the brakes. I have the tendency to be a people pleaser, therefore showing up for things out of obligation therefore, creating a resentment in me.
Right now, I'm working on balance. I'm working on learning to say no and not feel guilty about it. It's hard for me but I know if I don't take time for myself, I'm no good to anyone.
What boundaries are you working on and how are you keeping your balance?

Today's Topic - Belief Systems
In life, we all pick up belief systems along the way depending on our experiences. I've seen some people be able to shake it off with positivity while others really struggle. I was one that struggled. For years, my beliefs were defining me and as a result of that, my life was always in turmoil and chaos.
I finally stumbled across Byron Katie's book "The Work". In it, she asks the question, "Who would you be without your story and can you believe it to be true?" I started to wonder if all the nonsense I was telling myself was just that- nonsense.
Every day we have the choice to rewrite our story and redefine our beliefs about ourselves. It took me a long time to learn to love myself and change what I believed about myself. It takes daily reminders and disipline to rewire but it's possible.
What are your belief systems? What is the story you tell yourself over and over, and are you certain it's absolutely true? Remember, thoughts become things. Be gentle and patient with yourself as you would with your inner child. It takes time but you deserve to love yourself.

Today's Topic - Supressing Feelings
So, I had a full blown meltdown yesterday. The feelings came from nowhere and bubbled up so bad I had no choice but to let them go. I haven't cried like that in years and although I was exhausted the rest of the day, it was very cleansing.
In my experience, the only way to heal is to feel. Otherwise, we run the risk of it showing up in other ways such as anger, violence, and lashing out at the ones we love or even strangers. Dealing with our feelings isn't easy but it's required in order to be at peace inside.
Everyone has at least one person they can confide in and sometimes we just to say it out loud. We are only as sick as our secrets and shame. Allowing that to reside in us results in pain, disease, and emotional torment.
My wish is for you to heal and be at peace. The past is simply a trail we've left behind. We define ourselves and have the choice to take those lessons and shape ourselves into better people.

Today's Topic - Overcoming Procrastination
Procrasination can be a torturous thing, at least it has been for me. The fear of the unknown, the outcome, the success, the failure, the judgement, and all the "what if's" that follow. In the movie Grumpy Old Men Jack Lemmon said, "It's not the mistakes you make in life, it's the risks you don't take that become the regrets".
We've all made mistakes and we will continue to make them until we die. It's part of life and how we learn. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, and without risk we will never know what could have achieved.
Nine times out of ten, the outcome is never as scary as the scary stories we tell ourselves and if you have a burning passion inside of you that you want to achieve, the time is now. It doesn't matter how big or small your passion is, just start. One foot in front of the other, one day at a time. Commit to finishing.
What is your burning desire or passion? What is something you want to achieve this this life before you leave? This quarantine is a great opportunity to start.

Today's Topic - Hope
While we're all in this together, I'm sure we are all having our own experiences and emotions during this trying time. Some of us have been furloughed, some of us can't pay rent next month, some of us are having to home school our kids, some of us didn't have work before this all started making it all the more challenging to get through it.
Whatever situation we are in, hope is something nobody can ever take from us. Whatever your going through whether that be depression or fear, please don't lose hope. Find your inner strength inside of you that's always been there.
Love & Light~
