The only thing we really have control over is how we react to any situation. It's hard when someone is mean or downright rude not to have that knee jerk reaction back at them but to not respond puts the fire out.
I know for me, the times I've reacted to someone cutting me off in traffic or doing something rude, it has escalated the situation. Road rage is a perfect example; people die in those situations just by reacting. For that split second the rage & ego kick in causing people to do & say things they can't take back. It's dangerous.
Taking the high road means taking accountability for ourselves and behavior and, in the end it's always love that wins.
